This Privacy Notice explains the limited ways personal data may be processed when you visit mysteriouslacey.com (the “Site”) or choose to contact Mysterious Lacey. The Site is intentionally designed to collect as little visitor information as reasonably possible.
1. What the Site does not collect
The Site does not currently provide user accounts, memberships, on-site subscriptions, checkout, payment processing, advertising profiles or behavioural analytics. We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar advertising or cross-site tracking tools.
The Site does not ask visitors to provide identification documents, payment-card information or other sensitive personal information.
2. Technical data used to deliver the Site
Like virtually every website, some technical information must be processed when your device requests a page or image. This can include information such as the requested URL, date and time of the request, browser or device information, approximate country or network information, and technical connection data.
The Site currently uses bunny.net for website delivery, storage and CDN services. Bunny.net states that traffic logs are stored in the EU and that IP anonymisation is enabled by default. We do not maintain a separate visitor-profile or advertising-analytics database from this technical traffic information.
3. If you contact us
If you choose to contact us by email, we receive the email address you use and whatever information you voluntarily include in your message. Please do not send identification documents, financial information, passwords or other sensitive information unless it is genuinely necessary for your enquiry.
4. Why personal data may be processed
Where personal data are processed, the purpose and legal basis will depend on the situation. Technical processing necessary to operate, protect and troubleshoot the Site may be based on legitimate interests in maintaining a secure and functional website. Information contained in an email may be processed to respond to your enquiry, to take steps you request before entering into a potential business relationship, where applicable, or to comply with legal obligations.
If we introduce an optional activity that genuinely requires consent, we will request that consent separately rather than treating ordinary use of the Site as consent.
5. Cookies and tracking
The Site does not currently use analytics, advertising, profiling or marketing cookies. We do not currently operate a cookie banner because we have not enabled optional cookie-based tracking.
The 18+ entry gate stores a simple confirmation value in your browser’s local storage after you select “Enter — I am 18+”. It does not contain your name, date of birth or identity information, is not used for advertising or profiling, and is not sent to us as a visitor profile. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser.
If non-essential cookies or similar technologies are introduced in the future, this Notice will be updated and, where required, those technologies will remain disabled until the appropriate consent is obtained. Strictly necessary security or technical technologies may be used where they are required for the Site to function or remain secure.
6. External platforms and links
The Site contains links to third-party websites and creator platforms. When you follow one of those links, you leave MysteriousLacey.com. The third party then determines how it processes information on its own service under its own privacy notice, terms and technical systems. We do not control those independent services.
7. Who may receive information
Personal data are not sold. Information may be processed by service providers that are genuinely necessary to run the Site or communications, such as the hosting/CDN provider and, when you send an email, the relevant email service providers. Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect legal rights or the security of the Site.
8. Retention
We do not keep visitor information simply because it might be useful later. Technical logs are subject to the configuration and retention controls of the infrastructure provider. Email correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry, an ongoing relationship, security or abuse concerns, or applicable legal and record-keeping requirements, after which it should be deleted or minimised when no longer needed.
9. International processing
Internet infrastructure and third-party platforms can involve processing in more than one country. Where personal data are transferred internationally and the GDPR requires transfer safeguards, the relevant provider or controller is expected to use an applicable lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards.
10. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and legal basis, you may have rights including access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, and data portability where applicable. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
To exercise a privacy right or ask a question, email privacy@mysteriouslacey.com. We may ask for limited additional information where reasonably necessary to verify that a request relates to you.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority. In Croatia, the supervisory authority is the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).
11. Adults only
This Site is intended for adults aged 18 or over. It is not directed to children or minors, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from them through the Site.
12. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to reduce unnecessary data exposure and protect the Site. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so visitors should avoid sending sensitive information unless necessary.
13. Changes to this Notice
This Notice may be updated if the Site, its service providers or its data-processing practices change. The date at the top of this page will be updated when a material revision is published.
